New Restriction for Travelers Arriving from the UKOn December 25, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) within the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) issued an order requiring proof of a negative COVID-19 test for all air passengers arriving from the UK to the US. This order went into effect December 28, 2020. In addition to a negative test, the order also requires a passenger attestation stating they have received a negative Qualifying Test result. All travelers must be tested no more than 3 days before the flight to the US from the UK departs. Make sure to be tested with a viral test (NAAT or antigen test) to determine if you are currently infected with COVID-19. Test results should state any/all of the following: 1) negative, 2) Sars-CoV-2-RNA Not Detected, 3) SARS-CoV2 Antigen Not Detected. Travelers should avoid the antibody tests which look for prior infection. Also make sure that you receive your results before your flight departs and have documentation of your results to show the airline. It may be found at the CDC website for " Passenger Attestation Form." For additional questions, please see the CDC FAQ site. For testing at Heathrow, please visit the Heathrow Airport COVID testing site.

Both parts of the orientation are required for all new international students in F-1 or J-1 status at NYU.
