Education for Life: The Broken Greenhouse Ballet Performance, Feb. 10 |
The Education for Life Colloquium Series presents: The Broken Greenhouse, a powerful and original ballet performance by the Canton Ballet that celebrates the strength, creativity, and resilience of women who have shaped the art world across generations. Inspired by the Canton Museum of Art’s exhibition Shattered Glass: The Women Who Elevated American Art, this unique performance blends visual art, movement, and storytelling, with an introduction by Christy Davis, CMA Curator of Exhibitions, and co-interpretation by Jennifer Catazaro Hayward, director of the Canton Ballet. Join us on Tuesday, Feb. 10, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the Barrette Business and Community Center for an evening of artistic expression and reflection. Lil Cavs: Big Weekend — Invite Your Lil Sib! |
Calling all students! Want to share what makes Walsh so special with your younger siblings? Invite them to campus for Lil Sibs Weekend, themed “Lil Cavs: Big Weekend!” The event takes place Friday, Feb. 13 through Saturday, Feb. 14, and it is $10 per sibling (students attending with their sibling are free). It is a fun chance for your Lil Sib to experience campus life, meet new people, and see what being a Cav is all about. Register online

Gentlemen, looking for a meaningful break from the routine? Join fellow Cavaliers for The Father’s House Men’s Retreat 2026, a weekend focused on fellowship, faith, and genuine friendship. Held Friday, Feb. 20 to Saturday, Feb. 21, at Camp Buckeye, this retreat invites men to step away from campus life and deepen their faith alongside others. Study Beyond Opportunity: London, England, Deadline Thursday |
Students interested in the study beyond opportunity are reminded that the application and group flight deadline is tomorrow, Thursday, Feb. 5 for the two-week program in London, England, from Saturday, May 16 to Saturday, May 30, offered through the Cooperative Center for Study Abroad (CCSA). The course, London at War: Museums and Memory of the WWII Home Front, examines how museums and historic sites interpret life in London during World War II, combining guided academic experiences with built-in free time for independent exploration. The course fulfills multiple academic requirements and is open to students across programs. Additional details and application information are available through CCSA.

From Vision to Impact: Locally Owned Business Expo is happening Thursday, Feb. 19, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the David Center Atrium. This is your chance to connect directly with locally owned businesses and organizations, learn how entrepreneurs grow and sustain their work, and explore real-world career paths. Meet business owners, ask questions, and build meaningful connections, whether you are interested in entrepreneurship, marketing, leadership, or expanding your professional network. Community Cybersecurity Summit, March 25 |
In partnership with Pelican3, Walsh University will host the 9th Annual Community Cybersecurity Summit on March 25, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Barrette Business and Community Center. This workshop-style event will bring together industry experts, educators, and students to explore key topics including new CMMC regulations, artificial intelligence, and incident response, while offering 5.5 CPEs for participants. The summit is free for Walsh students, faculty, and staff with an interest in cybersecurity and includes lunch and networking opportunities with employers in the field. Seats are limited to 150 participants, and general registration ends March 1. Register online today

Annual Free Community Clinic Coming in April |
Make your health a priority this spring with a free wellness check-up at Walsh University’s Annual Community Clinic! Open to everyone 18 and older, this no-cost event includes movement, strength, balance, and vision assessments by Walsh University’s Doctor of Physical Therapy and Master of Occupational Therapy students who are supervised by licensed clinicians. Participants receive personalized feedback, resources for continued wellness, including referrals, and if returning, can compare progress with prior results. Lead With Purpose: Cav Cor Leadership Internship Opportunity |
Students looking for an on-campus leadership opportunity with real meaning and impact are encouraged to explore the Cav Cor Leadership Internship, open to students of any major. Though unpaid, this servant leadership opportunity allows students to play a vital role in Orientation, Welcome Weekend, and year-long mentorship of incoming freshmen while building transferable skills in leadership, communication, project management, and teamwork. Cav Cor interns collaborate closely with peers and university staff, gain hands-on experience leading campus initiatives, enjoy exclusive benefits such as early move-in and housing stipends during orientation, and make a lasting difference by supporting and mentoring new students throughout their first year at Walsh. | Apply online

The Walsh University Student Government convened on Jan. 29, bringing together representatives from a wide range of student organizations to discuss campus initiatives, share important updates for the spring term, and to celebrate achievements. President Rob Klockner (’27) introduced a new meeting format aimed at improving efficiency and engagement, and recognized SAAC as the WUSG Club of the Month. Student Government sincerely thanks President Tim Collins and Christina Paone, Athletic Director and Vice President for Athletics, for joining the meeting and sharing insightful updates on Walsh University Athletics, as well as celebrating the University’s recent 2026 NCAA Division II Award of Excellence for their "Cav Salute" initiative. WUSG would also like to thank the student body for coming to the Swords Up Picnic and leaving comments and suggestions. The Executive Board will report back on the comments at the next meeting on Thursday, Feb. 12 at 9 p.m. in Timken 108. We hope to see you there!
