A Strong Kickoff to the New Academic Year |
|
|
Last month the Clinical Research Training Center (CRTC) kicked off our Career Development Seminar Series, and we were thrilled by the remarkable turnout.
The “Errors and Misconduct in Biomedical Research” lecture led by Elisabeth Bik, PhD, marked our most attended Career Development Seminar to date! We couldn't have pulled off such a successful event without our incredible speaker, the sponsorship of Jay Piccirillo, MD, FACS, and the TL1 Program, as well as our dedicated staff, and all of our wonderful guests. Be sure to check out our upcoming Career Development Seminars.

At the core of the CRTC are not only the eager trainees ready to advance their careers, but also the experienced and dedicated mentors who guide their growth. To support them, we’ve made it a priority to offer faculty mentors the tools and training they need through comprehensive mentor development sessions.
Earlier this month, our KL2 and TL1 Faculty Mentors gathered for our second training session of the year, and they explored evidence-based strategies for supporting scholar development. We're grateful to our expert moderators who led faculty through interactive workshops covering communication, research independence, and professional development. This continued investment in mentor training directly supports our mission of preparing the next generation of independent clinical researchers.
