Approximately 5,000 students are set to earn bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral degrees from Clemson University at Spring Commencement next week. All ceremonies are livestreamed by Clemson TV.

- Faculty and staff are always welcome to attend Commencement. New this year, reserved seating will be available for University staff on a first-come, first-served basis.

Several organizations will offer discounts to state employees in honor of South Carolina Public Servant Recognition Week. Unless otherwise noted, these discounts apply only during the week of May 3-9, 2026.

April Purvis has been named chief executive officer of the Clemson University Foundation (CUF), effective July 1, 2026. Purvis previously served in multiple roles for the Foundation, including director of gift management and as the organization’s legal counsel and chief operating officer, before becoming the secretary to the University's Board of Trustees in 2023.
As peanut planting begins, South Carolina growers have new AI tools from the Clemson University Cooperative Extension Service designed to improve efficiency, reduce uncertainty and increase profitability.

When Clemson Pulse Breeding Program manager Tristan Lawrence receives his master's degree next week, he will walk across the stage and into his next chapter with Clemson. As a non-traditional student, he leveraged a network of mentors, engaging research opportunities and the Employee Tuition Assistance Program to shape a Clemson Experience that has benefited farmers throughout the region and prepared him to start his own company.
