Our office, College Undergraduate Academic Services, brings you this newsletter to provide updates on KU and College policies and procedures and how they may impact your work with College undergraduate students. You're receiving this as a representative of your department or campus partner office.

Fall graduation is coming up quickly! It's one of the best times of year, where we get to celebrate our students and their accomplishments.

We want to share our sincerest thanks for everything you do to help get our students here. Your time, hard work, and dedication is immensely appreciated. 

With graduation comes the final crosses on the t's and dots on the i's. Read below for some upcoming deadlines, reminders, and requests to help this semester's final countdown go as smoothly as possible for our newest College graduates.

Degree certification for undergraduates will commence on December 23rd. The certification process will resume with the opening of the university on January 2nd, 2026. Please keep in mind that during these dates (12/23 - 12/24 & 1/2 - 1/9) College Degree Analysts may have questions regarding a student applicant’s major, minor, or certificate requirements that require a departmental response. We kindly ask that a departmental contact be available during degree certification, as we may call upon the point of contact to approve an exception or other issue.

Please submit any remaining substitutions or waivers for students who have applied to graduate for Fall 2025 as soon as possible – no later than Friday, December 19, 2025, but preferably before then.

The College's graduation ceremony will be on December 7th, 2025. Summer 2025 graduates and Fall 2025 graduation applicants have been invited via email. Any questions regarding this ceremony can be directed to collegeundergrad@ku.edu.
