A Message From the Director
The mission of the Child Care Council of Dutchess and Putnam includes “strengthening the early childhood workforce in Dutchess and Putnam Counties.” Simply, what that means is that the Council provides opportunities for child care providers to gain knowledge and become quality caregivers. We’re doing that and, as always, we welcome your ideas.

This is a great time to review and restock the contents of your first aid kit as well as your emergency bag.According to OCFS regulations, you should stock the following items in your first aid kit: disposable gloves, preferably vinyl, band aid and sterile gauze pads of various sizes, bandage tape, roller gauze, and cold pack.

Congratulations, Lorraine!
The National Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) Sponsors Association has awarded Lorraine Scuccimarra dual certifications as CACFP Child Nutrition Professional and CACFP Management Professional. These certifications are a special designation for those in the CACFP profession that are committed to continually learning best practices and keeping up with changing trends in the field by attending additional trainings and workshops. Lorraine is the CACFP Coordinator for the Child Care Council of Dutchess and Putnam, Inc. Congratulations and thank you, Lorraine!
