Staff Emergency Fund Scavenger Hunt |
Now through Aug. 31, the University Staff Council is hosting a scavenger hunt to raise awareness and generate financial contributions to the Staff Emergency Fund. For staff experiencing a temporary hardship due to a significant life event, this fund provides limited assistance to help reduce the financial burden caused by a house fire, medical bills or other catastrophic events. To participate, complete the following checklist and receive a special ‘thank you’ prize from the USC while supporting colleagues:

Donate at least $25 to the Staff Emergency Fund;

Like and share the USC newsletter post on the Human Resources and Organizational Effectiveness Facebook or Twitter pages or snap a photo of you and coworkers with the newsletter and submit it using the USC contact form;
- Attend the monthly USC meeting on July 18 (via Zoom or in-person at 8:45 a.m. in the General Services Complex, Room 101 B/C); and
-
Submit one suggestion or inquiry to the USC using the USC contact form (include your mailstop).

All donations are matched dollar-for-dollar by the Office of the President, so your donation is doubled!

July Common Grounds: Technology Services |
Join our July Common Grounds presentation with Ed Pierson, Chief Information Officer and Vice President of Technology Services. He will share updates on the division’s unification efforts and other useful information regarding IT at Texas A&M. He will speak on Tuesday, July 18 at 10 a.m. following the 8:45 a.m. USC meeting at the General Services Complex in Room 101B/C. Staff are encouraged to attend in-person or via Zoom for both the USC meeting and the Common Grounds presentation. We hope to see you there!

Update Zoom: Required by Aug. 5 |
Zoom will be retiring older client versions for Zoom Client for Meetings to address a security vulnerability. After Aug. 5, you will not be able to log in or join meetings from versions below 5.3.0. Please be sure to update to the latest version of Zoom software to ensure you are able to participate in virtual meetings hosted via the platform. If you have questions or need assistance, please contact your local IT support or Help Desk Central.

Become a Hullabaloo U Instructor |
The Office for Student Success is seeking staff and faculty to serve as Hullabaloo U instructors for the fall 2023 semester. With the expected record incoming class, a few additional course sections are opening to ensure that every freshman can benefit from the Hullabaloo U experience. Open Enrollment: July 10 - 31 |
Open Enrollment is July 10 – July 31. Review your current benefits in Workday prior to making your elections for the new plan year.
For employees, there is no increase in the employee contribution for medical coverage and no plan design changes.
Several open enrollment events will be hosted in July, including meetings tailored for our satellite campus locations.
Also, check MyEvive to make sure you have completed your Two-Step Wellness Program and that your incentive status has been updated.
