Our monthly Second Saturday Family Adventure program has continued outside but socially distanced! We've been lucky--even with the colder fall weather we've had some warm spells so we were able to be outside and enjoy the beautiful weather. With temperatures in the 50s children and their families were able to walk through our outdoor gardens and Learning Center and had a great time! Families were able to learn about different approaches animals take to survive the cold in winter and look for signs of these differences in the garden. They got to see and touch animal pelts, learn about how fur works to keep animals cozy, and make a pinecone bird feeder as a gift to the birds in the garden or near their home. Finally, they warmed up with some tasty winter treats!
Stay tuned for our future Second Saturday Family programs in 2021!
