ICANotes Updates for March 2020

Changes made to ICANotes in our March 2020 release are described below. Please call ICANotes Support at 443-569-8778 if you have any questions or visit our HIPAA-compliant Support Portal at help.icanotes.com.

Practice Management Updates
Group Rules (non-Clinical)
New group rule: Filtered Last Exam Date. When enabled, filtering by 'Date of Last Exam' in the Clinical/Demographic report will exclude dates of Form Letters, Clinical Messages, and Clinical Notes Without Encounter to give a more accurate reading of the last exam based on notes. This will also apply to the Date of Last Exam column in the search results. Security Administrators may contact ICANotes Support to have the rule enabled for their account. 
Patient Account Reports
New options to export the policy number for primary, secondary, and tertiary insurance carriers have been added to Patient Accounts report export settings.

Clinical Updates
Travel Questionnaire
Most notes have been updated to include a new 'Travel Questionnaire' button located near the top of the note work areas (in red). When selected, a new shrub content layout will display with questions related to the patient's recent travel in conjunction with COVID-19. 
Telehealth
A new "Telehealth Session" checkbox has been added to the work areas of most note types. When a note is compiled and the Telehealth Session box is checked, a sentence will be added near the end of the finished note text, "This encounter was conducted via a telehealth session." Look for the checkbox next to the service code entry work area.
Group Rules (Clinical)
New Group Rule: Stop/Start Rx Verbs Only. When enabled, the verbs available for ordering standard medications will include only the following: Start, Stop, Refill, External Provider Rx, [Blank], and [Revert]. Medication Protocols will similarily have limited options to Start and Stop only. Security Administrators should contact ICANotes about enabling this rule for their account.
Primary Care Note
We have updated the Primary Care note to include medication entry capability. 
Forms/Assessments
The following forms and assessments have been added and are now accessible for all customers:
  • Body Graph
  • PCL-5 Rating Scales Scoring Revision (previously PCL-C)
  • Telehealth Services Informed Consent
