Healthy Bodies for Boys and Girls - Thursday, August 27, 2015
Puberty can be a stressful and confusing time, especially for you and your child with an Intellectual and/or Developmental Disability (I/DD). In spite of delays in other areas, children with I/DD usually enter puberty around the same time as other children their age. There will be two sessions, one for boys and one for girls to discuss resources and tips on how to talk to your son or daughter about these sensitive topics.
Cassandra Newsom, Psy.D. is a neuropsychologist and clinician, Newsom does clinical diagnostic evaluations in the Division of Developmental Medicine, Pediatrics, for children of various ages who have or are suspected of having an autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
Amy Weitlauf, Ph.D., has a broad background in clinical and developmental psychology, with specific training and expertise in the early identification of autism spectrum disorders (ASD).Click here to register.
