| Lecturer, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry

"I earned an interdisciplinary PhD from the University of California, Riverside, spanning botany, computer science, and chemistry, where I researched antioxidants in pomegranate juice, plant survival during flooding, insect–plant chemical warfare, and the aroma chemistry of citrus fruits. I began teaching at CSUN in 2013 as a lecturer in introductory chemistry and have since taught introductory and general chemistry lectures and discussions. Today, I primarily teach in the laboratory, including general, analytical, organic, and physical chemistry labs. I also teach CHEM 500, focused on graduate school survival skills, and have taught SCI 100, a first-year success course for science majors. In addition, I previously advised the CSUN Chem Club. I value participating in Faculty Development because it connects me with colleagues across campus who are deeply committed to teaching and student success."
