Visiting the Volunteer State
Ambassador Sugiyama visited Tennessee this month to meet with the local leaders and businesses that contribute to Japan-US relations. Growing investment ties between Japan and Tennessee was a topic of discussion in a meeting with Governor Bill Lee. As Japan is Tennesse's largest job creator among foreign countries, the Ambassador made a point of meeting the Americans who work at Denso's Maryville facility, Nissan's Smyrna plant and Bridgestone's Warren County factory.
