Happy New Year from LVCA

End of Year Giving Update

On behalf of everyone at LVCA, thank you for your generosity! We raised $45,143 for our 2021 end-of-year giving campaign. We reached our match goal 3x over! We are grateful for your support.
Finances are not the only way you can support our organization. We have new training opportunities below that you can attend and share with your family, friends, and neighbors.

New Training Dates

We have new information sessions and tutor training sessions available for 2022. Our student waitlist is growing, and we'd love to train new volunteers to help meet the needs of the adults who come to us for assistance. This is the perfect time to invest in becoming a tutor.
Information sessions are one-hour workshops to learn more before committing to a training. Our next sessions are:
  • February: February 24 6:00 p.m. -7:00 p.m. or February 25 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m.
Training sessions are three 2-hour zoom sessions to equip volunteers for tutoring. Volunteers can tutor online, in-person, or a combination of both. Our next two sessions are:
  • January: Thursdays 6:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m.
    • January 20, January 27, February 3
  • February: Tuesdays 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m.
    • February 15, February 22, March 1
