University of Oregon
Dear Student Services and Enrollment Management Team,
We are in the thick of spring term and there are a lot of exciting things happening throughout our division that are worth sharing.

MENTAL HEALTH SUMMIT AND AWARENESS MONTH
Congratulations to the team who hosted the inaugural Mental Health Summit. We had great attendance and a fantastic program. May is also Mental Health Awareness Month. I encourage you to read more about the events and activities taking place this month.

CONSTRUCTION UPDATES
Many of our staff in SSEM are impacted by construction projects on campus. A recent update was published sharing information on all campus construction. Specifically, the Health and Counseling Center expansion and renovations as well as the housing expansion project have new updates.

TAPINGO
University Housing recently launched a new online ordering service for campus vendors. Congrats to the team that launched this new service for the campus community. You can read more about Tapingo in the AroundtheO story.

COMMENCEMENT
Mark your calendars for commencement on Monday, June 17. This has been a fantastic year and I know many of you will be cheering for our graduates along the graduation parade route. Lots of useful information can be found on the commencement website including the keynote speaker. I encourage you to review site and share it with your student employees that will be graduating.

EVANS SCHOLARSHIP
Sarahi Ortiz, a junior Spanish major, has been named the vice president for the Evans Scholars National Committee. This is an exciting honor and I am so proud of Sarahi’s work with our Oregon Evans Scholars chapter.

STAMPS SCHOLARSHIP
I am pleased to announce that we have 10 new Stamps Scholars joining our freshmen class this fall. This year’s cohort includes six students from Oregon and four from across the country. I am incredibly excited to welcome them to campus in the fall.

This marks our seventh year awarding the Stamps scholarship and only the second year we have been able to offer it to out-of-state students. This year was incredibly competitive, and I am so pleased to have the support and partnership of the Stamps Foundation.

Once again, thank you to everyone in SSEM for all of the excellent work you are doing for our students, families, and community. Without you, our division would not shine as brightly as it does today.

Sincerely,
Roger J. Thompson
Vice President for Student Services and Enrollment Management
