Banjo Lessons Just For You

October 2022

Hi Everyone!

The John Hardy installment of my Beginner's Corner Zoom workshops is Saturday, October 22 at 10:00 a.m. Eastern.

With John Hardy we are getting into some of the harder material. Common difficulties students have with this tune include:

the last lick of the first phrase
connecting the phrases correctly
that D lick!
smoothly transitioning from the end of the tune back to the beginning

We will talk about all these and more!

Everyone will receive a download link afterward, so you don't have to attend live.

What's New This Month

Here is the new lesson I've recorded. It is available to order on the special newsletter order page. The price is 2-for-$30.

- Banjolina (A) Watch clip. - This Bobby Thompson tune is a bit obscure but is a great addition to your repertoire. Hard enough to be interesting, but easy enough it won't take forever to learn.

New Music Video!

The second music video from the new CD When My Momma Sang To Me (on which I played banjo on several cuts) is "The Darling Daughter" featuring Leanna Price on lead vocal and fiddle, myself on banjo, Lauren Price on mandolin, and Christopher Henry on everything else. Give it a listen!
