Stockings for Soldiers

Thanks to the dedicated staff at Leach, students sent handmade stockings to those serving our country. Enjoy the video above shot and produced by teacher Thomas Winkler, it’s truly heartwarming!

Twas the Week Before Winter Break

Schools throughout the district did all kinds of things to get in the holiday spirit. At William Penn, Wacky Wednesday was a big hit and so was the door decorating contest, with art teacher Kim Davis the undisputed winner. Several schools like Southern, Eisenberg and New Castle also had a blast with Ugly Holiday Sweater Day. WE had fun while learning!

Here Comes Santa!

Santa flew in via helicopter thanks to the US Coast Guard from Atlantic City to visit the students at Leach. Last year COVID grounded his yearly drop-in, but the students were thrilled to have him fly in again to take individual pictures while handing out a sweet treat. There are more photos to be found on our district website...enjoy!

Handmade Gifts are the Best!

Students in the STAR program at Leach, that's Skills for Transition, Adult Readiness, and Resilience delivered handmade holiday gift bags and ready-to-make cookie mix in mason jars to the staff at the Administration Building. The fundraiser is a much-anticipated visit for both students and staff.

Tis' the Season for Giving

Page & Associates Scholastic Staff, an agency that provides tutors for all Colonial Schools and is better known as PASS,  partnered with Sneaker Villa of Prices Corner to host a Toy Drive for elementary schools in the district.  They distributed more than 300 toys with a cost value of $25+ each to donate to students. Our community and business partners are awesome!

WE Give!

Thank you to all the staff at William Penn who donated gifts to the Key Club Toy Drive.  Club members wrapped the gifts and they were received just in time for Pressley Ridge Foster Care's Holiday Party!  Over at Eisenberg, students brought in a total of 1936 items for the school's canned food collection.  They received an additional 200 items from the support staff and those working in the Colonial District Office. Congratulations to Mrs. Napolin's class for bringing in the most donations! Other schools participated in Adopt-A-Family, Making Wishes Come True, and Angel Tree programs that provided gifts to needy students and their families. Thanks to all for being so generous!

Have a Great Holiday Break!

WE will see all of our students back at school on Tuesday, January 4th!
