Searching by Department in the CMS
Use the "Related agency" filter to search for pages by Department.
|
The Department you tag on your page appears under the "Agency" field name. It was previously labeled "Department".
|
Watch Amy's demo and learn all the other ways you can search for a page in the CMS.

Best practices

Structure your page by refining the user need
Before you start writing your page, ask yourself:
- Who is the page for and what does that person need to do?
To define a user need, fill in the following placeholders with a strong verb:
- As a (user)
- I want to (do something)
- So that I can (how the need fits into the person’s life)
For example:
- As an immigrant
- I want to talk to an immigration attorney
-
So that I can stay in the US, vote, get a better job, avoid deportation, and protect my family.
Then, write your acceptance criteria. Acceptance criteria are the boxes we need to check to know the user need is “done”. For the example above, we'll know the page is done when the user knows:
- how to contact immigration legal services
-
how to get help paying for their application
- where services are available in their language
