Dear Faculty, Administrators and Staff,
As we prepare to begin a new academic year, I am excited to welcome our new faculty and students to campus. I want to extend our gratitude to Mary Balkun for her efforts on behalf of the Center for Faculty Development in organizing yesterday’s New Faculty Orientation as well as to all who participated. We are fortunate to have such a talented group of faculty joining us this year. Please join me in welcoming these faculty members at our New Faculty Convocation on September 20, 2024 at 4 p.m.
I would also like to highlight that Move-In Day for our new students is tomorrow. This is a wonderful opportunity to greet our incoming students and their families with the warm and inviting spirit of Seton Hall University. Join us in welcoming our new Pirates as they arrive on campus. Whether it’s offering directions, assisting with luggage, or simply sharing a friendly smile, your presence and support can make a lasting impact.
The Provost’s Office will have a table set up outside of President’s Hall, and we look forward to connecting with both new and familiar faces as we come together to welcome our newest community members.

Led by Associate Dean Mark Schild from the Stillman School of Business, the program covered essential financial concepts, risk management and investment strategies. Students managed a live portfolio using advanced resources like Bloomberg terminals, gaining real-world experience in the financial markets, and received insights from industry experts. This initiative reflects Seton Hall’s commitment to fostering financial literacy and preparing future leaders. Read more.
