Fulbright winners find life-changing experiences in posts abroad

For the sixth time in seven years, Denison is once again a top-producing Fulbright college. Fulbright grants are awarded based on academic and professional achievement, service, and leadership potential in their respective fields. “Denison students are bright, driven, and intellectually curious about the world around them,” President Adam Weinberg said. “They graduate ready to hit the ground running, and these Fulbright awards underscore that readiness to contribute to important global conversations.”

Bringing diversity to earth and environmental sciences

Assistant professor Anjali Fernandes developed a love for geosciences as a youth in her native India, where she was one of the few women in her college courses. At Denison, she provides opportunities and serves as a role model for students looking to see a future for themselves in this in-demand and evolving field.

Hilltoppers ‘savor every second’ in national spotlight

Each year in February, the small town of Punxsutawney, Pa., finds itself in the national spotlight thanks to its over-the-top Groundhog Day celebration. This year, Denison’s own Hilltoppers traveled to Gobbler’s Knob and performed for a raucous crowd of 40,000.

Work directly with the Annual Fund team to support, promote, and ensure that March 28, Day of Giving 2024 is a success. Day of Giving is an annual fundraising initiative that encourages all Denisonians to come together on this one day to make an everlasting impact.

This is not a huge time commitment or lift on your end! We will provide all the necessary resources for you to be successful. We want you to be comfortable with your commitment. Efforts could include promoting Day of Giving on your personal social media platforms, making phone calls, sending text messages, creating your own fundraising page, or even following us on social to amplify our messages.

Research has shown that your fellow classmates are more willing to participate if they are encouraged by familiar names and faces. Our goal is to get 1,000 alumni to participate by making a gift, and we need alumni partners like you to reach this goal!
