It's hard to believe that we're almost through winter and that Spring and April showers are imminent!  We have lots of events to tell you about for the end of March and April, including the Friends of Euclid Creek's upcoming Spring Celebration Fundraiser, a call for volunteers, and lots of ways for you to get involved, from workshops to spring stream cleanups, so read more below.

Volunteers Needed
We are looking for volunteers during the day on Thursday, April 30 and the morning of Saturday, May 2 for a plant distribution event.  
We need help sorting & labelling plants, preparing deer protection fencing, and distributing plants to program enrollees.  
Please contact the Watershed Coordinator if you can help any time between 10am-4pm on April 30 or 8:30am-noon on May 2 (contact info. below).

Friends of Euclid Creek Spring Celebration!

The Friends of Euclid Creek is hosting a benefit to raise funds for an endowment on Friday, April 24 from 6:00pm-8:30pm at the Cleveland Metroparks Acacia Reservation in Lyndhurst. 

The goal is to underwrite FOEC's land conservation and education activities for the future of the watershed program. 

The benefit Spring Celebration, is a reception (6-7pm), dinner and speaker (7-8:30pm), featuring a talk by Chris Ronayne, Executive Director of University Circle, Inc. who will talk about The Complete Neighborhood

Single tickets for the dinner at Dino’s, Metroparks Acacia Reservation, are $100 or $85 for FOEC members. Tables are $750 (8 seats) and half tables $375. You can purchase tickets online - or you can mail your payment to Friends of Euclid Creek at PO Box 21384, South Euclid, Ohio 44121.

Come and join us as we prepare for our upcoming fundraiser.  Join members for an evening of fun, creativity, camaraderie, food, and drink.  We will be making centerpieces, decorations, handwriting invitations to mail (bring your address book!), and much more!  This will allow everyone to be part of this ever so important event and the perfect opportunity to network with new friends, and lend your efforts to this special group volunteer opportunity.  P
