COVID Update and Data Transparency for 2021-22 School YearWe will continue to closely track our community's data on COVID-related absences, and publish this data in the weekly InDepth newsletter and on our website. This data gives us important information for making our decisions on safety precautions and when we may need to adjust them.
The chart above indicates the COVID-related absences during the first week of school (Thursday, August 5 - Wednesday, August 11) among our school community of 841 students, 138 faculty and staff, and a couple dozen coaches per athletic season.
As a reminder, during this time of concern over the spread of the Delta variant, it is important that we continue to be mindful of what each of us can do:
- Get vaccinated if you are eligible.
- Practice good hygiene.
- If you are not vaccinated, masks are required indoors on campus. Masks are optional for those who are vaccinated. If you are vaccinated but living with a high risk individual and/or feel more comfortable wearing a mask at this time, we support that decision.
- Stay home if you are sick and report COVID-related symptoms when you call in.
- Follow school's instructions when the need for testing and/or quarantine arises.
We are still comfortable at this time for masks to be optional for those who are vaccinated because our community has a vaccination rate of over 90%, and we are not currently seeing the spread of cases. We continue to be in regular contact with our medical advisors. Please be prepared to be flexible to changing procedures if needed.
