Substance Safety for Students

If students choose to engage with substances such as alcohol at parties, athletic tailgates and other occasions, it’s important that they do so safely and intentionally. Please share these helpful tips from Prevention Services and Student Conduct with your students.

• Meet the incoming class of new NC State students.
• The African American Cultural Center Library Reader Lounge is a monthly “silent” book club/communal reading session where students, faculty and staff can connect. The first monthly session is Sept. 16 from 4-6 p.m. in the African American Cultural Center Library.
• On Wellness Day (Sept. 29) join Student Leadership and Engagement and Resiliency and Community Support for Pack the Neighborhood: Community Cleanup.
• Through Oct. 31, Multicultural Student Affairs (MSA) is running a crowdfunding campaign in honor of its 25-year anniversary.
• New dates have been announced for the Poole College of Management Financial Literacy Program, a free program for employees.

• University Theatre’s production of Metamorphoses will run Oct. 1-11 in Titmus Theatre, Frank Thompson Hall.
• This season, University Theatre brings classic stories to new life with Spring Awakening and Sense and Sensibility.
