During National Volunteers Month, we want to send our heartfelt thanks to our physician volunteers! Physicians support our mission by serving on the Nashville Academy and Medical Foundation Boards, committees and work groups, and as delegates to the TMA House of Delegates. More than 1,900 physicians have volunteered through Project Access Nashville to provide care to our low-income, uninsured neighbors. Your efforts save lives and continue to make Tennessee a great place to practice medicine.

Successful Doctor's Day on the Hill!

Doctors' Day on the Hill was a great success with our Tennessee state legislators. Nearly 70 representatives from the Nashville Academy of Medicine attended including physicians, residents, and medical students. Thank you to each of you for giving of your time to represent the issues of importance to physicians today including scope of practice, physician wellness, prior authorization, and trigger law correction.

TMA Insurance Workshop Series

Starting in April, TMA will host a series of informative insurance webinars. Each webinar will include a one-hour presentation with a different expert followed by a 30- minute Q&A session. CEU is available for each speaker webinar.

Prescription Drug Take Back Day is April 22

Patients can dispose of unused, unwanted and expired prescription and over-the-counter medications at the annual National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 22, from 10 am to 2 pm. Vape pens and other e-cigarette devices will also be accepted.
