WeLe@rn Remote Learning Begins April 6th

We know remote teaching and learning at home with devices can be a challenge, but we have taken steps to make it easier for adults to help students. We feel ready to shift into Remote Learning, which will begin on April 6th. Please take this week to digest the information in the link below; we realize it’s a lot, but don’t let it overwhelm you because we are here to help!

Grab and Go Meals Day Change

We have moved meal delivery to a two day a week schedule, on Mondays and Wednesdays. Locations and times will remain similar to what has been delivered.  Visit http://www.colonialschooldistrict.org/covid-19-food-resources for the most up to date locations and times.
• Mondays, children will receive two (2) breakfast and two (2) lunch meals (a total of 4 meals per child).
• Wednesdays, children will receive three (3) breakfast and three (3) lunch meals (a total of 6 meals per child).
To date, more than 30,000 meals have been served to students during Delaware's State of Emergency. WE could not have done this task without our dedicated Nutrition Services staff, volunteer staff, and bus drivers. Thank you to all for supporting Colonial Nation in its time of need!

Device Pick-Up was Wet but Wonderful!

Colonial’s dedicated teachers and administrators braved the cold and rain to make certain families were able to get a learning device from their child’s school so that remote learning can continue. Over 5,600 devices were distributed at 2 events recently at Colonial Schools. Thanks to all of the staff who helped all the families who showed up. Teachers have planned some amazing lessons and activities to keep students engaged!

Remember the Symptoms

If you are experiencing any symptoms, such as a dry cough, shortness of breath and/or fever,  please call your healthcare provider. The CDC is advising all who feel sick not to seek help at local hospitals before seeing private doctors or going to state health care facilities first for those without insurance.
