Give an Hour and Change a Life To mark St. John's Giving Day on 9/27, we're reprising our #IGiveAnHour fundraising campaign. The concept is simple: We're asking alumni to gift the equivalent of your hourly pay to support our Public Interest Center, which oversees our Summer Public Interest Fellowship Program, Spring break service trips, Public Interest Auction, and other public interest programs and initiatives. We need 150 donors to help us reach our fundraising goal. Can we count on you? There's no need to wait. It's quick and easy to give online today!
Launch the Center for Race and Law Join us as we launch the Center for Race and Law, our newest academic center, with two special events. On 9/22, you can attend a screening of the feature-length documentary film, Who We Are: A Chronicle of Racism in America. In the film, criminal defense/civil rights lawyer Jeffery Robinson chronicles anti-Black racism in the United States, from slavery to the modern myth of a post-racial America. Then, on 10/6, the exploration continues as the Center's director, Professor Renee Nicole Allen, hosts a virtual conversation with Jeffrey Robinson about the film and his work as executive director of The Who We Are Project. Register now to attend the screening. Registration information for the 10/6 event will follow.
Don't Miss the Loan Forgiveness Deadline Public Service Loan Forgiveness borrowers: Now through 10/31, you may be able to receive credit for student loan payments that previously didn't qualify for PSLF. You can submit your waiver online and visit our resources page to learn more about this limited-time opportunity.
