Where Are They Now? For nearly 15 years, former WBYR/WFWI OM Jim Fox has worked in Sacramento, California, rising to Entercom's VP/Programming for that cluster. Entercom will transfer Mr. Fox to their Dallas, Texas cluster at the beginning of 2018. There, Mr. Fox will be VP/Programming for the Dallas cluster, along with PD of two radio stations.
Eastcentral
Moody Radio's WGNR (1470am, Anderson) modifies its proposed translator to eliminate a mutual exclusivity with another translator application from Woof Boom Radio's WHBU (1240am, Anderson). Both stations applied for 101.3 in Anderson; WGNR's revised application is for 101.1 from a site to the southwest near Pendleton. This whole move became possible when the FCC changed the 25 mile rule for translators.
Central
Nexstar's CW affiliate/WISH-TV (Channel 8, Indianapolis) Noon and early evening anchor David Barras retired, after 37 years with the TV station. Mr. Barras joined the WISH-TV in 1980 as a weekend assignment editor and reporter. You can see his Goodbye, here.

December 4: In 1995, WEVV-TV in Evansville switches from FOX to CBS affiliation. In 1999, 89.7fm in Greenfield signed on as WRGF, and still is. At Midnight in 2007, WKLU (101.9fm, Brownsburg) flips format from Classic Hits to Oldies ("Oldies 101.9").
December 5: In 1960, 93.1fm in Indianapolis signed on as WIBC-FM, and returned to those WIBC call letters in 2008.
December 6: In 1956, 1290am in Niles, Michigan signed on as WNIL, and still is. In 2007, WLFF (95.3fm, Brookston) flips format from Country ("The Wolf") to Adult Hits as "Bob" and call letters to WBPE ("Bob Plays Everything").
December 7: In 1949, 1270am in Gary signed on as WWCA, and still is. In 1959, 1380am in Brazil signed on as WITE. It later moved to 1130am. Today, it's WAMB. In 1970, 91.3fm in Vincennes signed on as WVUB(FM). In the late 1970s, it moved to 91.1fm, but remains WVUB ("Vincennes University Broadcasting"). In 1984, 94.3fm in Loogootee signed on as WKMD. It moved to 94.1fm in 1994 and to 94.5fm on August 19, 1998. Today, it's WRZR.
December 8: In 1995, former WBCL (90.3fm, Fort Wayne) morning host Jeff Carlson dies in an automobile accident. Age 46. In 2007, Fort Wayne broadcaster Jill Packard ("Roxanne McVay") dies. Age 45.
December 9: In 1996, WYEZ (96.9fm, Bremen) flipped formats from Beautiful Music to Contemporary Christian as WHPZ.

Education Required: College degree in T-Comm or production gives you the advantage.

WBCL in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is starting an Urban Gospel and Praise online station. This will not be another online jukebox. This station will have the same mission as WBCL with the same personality-oriented and community-driven mindset.

• Experience with scheduling music using MusicMaster software

• Know this music format on a deep level
• Be very comfortable interviewing people from all walks of life for live shows and longer pre-recorded interviews
