From the President
Dear Parents,
I was so grateful to be able to celebrate in-person commencement ceremonies with our graduates last month, as we awarded more than 1,800 degrees in front of family and friends.
Special congratulations to
Diego Gomez, BS’21, from the College of Arts and Sciences, and
Adrienne Pyle, BA’17, MD’21, a graduate of our School of Medicine, who received Creighton’s highest student honor – the Spirit of Creighton Award.
I am so impressed with how our students navigated this past academic year, and the many and creative ways they pulled together as a community as we faced the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. Their stories are inspiring and so emblematic of Creighton.
As we look ahead, I am excited to welcome students back for in-person classes and a more traditional
academic schedule and collegiate experience this fall. We fully opened our campus on June 1 and recently
announced details of those plans, which include a COVID-19 vaccination requirement for all students coming to campus, effective July 7.
Students can request an exemption for medical reasons or until the COVID-19 vaccination has full approval from the Food and Drug Administration by completing the
Student Medical Exemption Request form. In the latter case, students will be required to get vaccinated within six to eight weeks of full vaccine approval by the FDA. More information on immunizations, and the exemption request form, can be found on our
Student Health Education and Compliance website, and questions about our COVID-19 vaccination requirement can be directed to the Division of Student Life at (402) 280-2775 or
dslcommunications@creighton.edu.
Meanwhile, there is still time to take advantage of our
Summer Sessions, and our summer tuition rate. The final term begins in July.
Thank you for your continued support of Creighton University. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful community of parents and families.
