Did you know we have a podcast?
Thank you Brandon Jones and Rev. J.R. Hall for leading worship Sunday, October 11 while I was away. I listened to Brandon's message, and like Brandon, I give thanks for a church that allows us all to sit and wrestle in the messy places of scripture and faith. I give thanks that we have so many individuals willing to share their voice to help us all experience God in community. Are you like me and missed Sunday? You can always catch sermons on our podcast. Search for "Sermon podcast Parkway Hills United Methodist Church," subscribe, and listen anytime. These are also available at our website. Listen to Brandon’s good word here.

Women's Ministry Planning Meeting Saturday

All are invited to our annual Women's Ministry planning meeting this Saturday, October 17, at 9:30 am at Fusion Coffeehouse, 1111 Highland Colony Parkway.
The goal of the Women's Ministry at Parkway Hills UMC is to provide opportunities for creating community for the women of the church as well as reflect on what the women of the church can offer the Madison County community. All are welcome to come and join in the conversation, offer ideas, or just listen. Can't make the meeting but have ideas of how to create community or serve our community? Email Pastor Dawn.
It is with sad hearts that we announce the relocation and new address for our dear friends, Alan and Susan Branson. We will miss you, Susan and Alan, and are grateful for the many volunteer hours you shared with us.
Below is their new address, and you can also email them from the above links to wish them happy roads ahead.

Worship on the Lawn, Trick or Treat Trail, and Chili Cook-Off
If you've been here at PHUMC for a year or longer, you're familiar with the excitement on the day of our Worship on the Lawn, the fun of the Trick or Treat Trail, and the extreme competitiveness of our Chili Cookoff.

We will begin with small groups at 9:30 followed by Worship on the Lawn at 10:45 am. Bring a chair and an umbrella for the sun. We will not livestream this service.
At 5:00 pm, children and families are invited to meet at the front of our Stations Trail. Wear your costumes and bring your candy buckets. Youth and Bridge, arrive at 4:30 to help! We are accepting candy donations for this event. There will be marked bins in the foyers for the bags of candy.
At 6:00 pm, following our Trick or Treat Trail, all are invited inside the Worship Center for our Chili Cook-off. We need chili cooks! Click here to sign up to bring a crockpot of chili. That's all there is to it (except for your skill as a chef). So far, there have been no chili leftovers!
The winner of the cook-off gets $100 donated to the charity of their choice. Past winners have included Joe Williams, 2021, for Webster Animal Shelter; David White, 2022, for Mississippi Children's Homes; Drew and Taylor Pruett, 2023, for PHUMC Beds for Kids Ministry; Branden Henry, 2024, for Madison Young Life; and Branden Henry 2025, Grant Me Justice.
Come, wear your costumes, eat some chili, and vote for your favorite.

We encourage you to take a moment, register to vote or check your own voter registration. You can do this by clicking here. Your voice matters.

Our children would love for you to volunteer to teach them, even just one Sunday!  This is a small commitment with a great reward! Follow the link to sign up and bring a friend.
