Spots Still Available for Picnic with the Ponies Equestrian Camp for 6-8 Year Olds

There are a handful of spots left in the Picnic with the Ponies camp for 6-8 year olds at the Equestrian Center. This is a wonderful way to safely introduce young kids to riding and a fantastic educational opportunity if they already have some riding experience. The next two-week session is June 14-16 and 21-23 from 12 to 2 p.m. each day, and there are also sessions later in June, July and August. See camp details and registration information on our Equestrian Camps page. Don't forget, the Equestrian Center also offers Riding Lessons!

Wildlife Awareness Open House

It is beneficial to be aware of the wildlife with which we share our home on Ken-Caryl Ranch. There will be a presentation on the latest wildlife issues followed by an “open house.” Come talk with the Master Association Rangers about the dos and don’ts when encountering wildlife, see mounts and skins, and grab some educational materials provided by Colorado Parks and Wildlife and Jefferson County Open Space.

KC Art Guild June 9 Meeting to Feature Director of Music from Colorado School of Mines

The June 9 meeting of the Ken-Caryl Art Guild will feature Dr. Bob Klimek, the Director of the Music Program at the Colorado School of Mines. He will discuss "The Modern Engineer as an Artist." His presentation will be a discussion about how the arts play an important role in the development of engineering students and how the education of the School of Mines students is incomplete without the arts. Everyone is welcome at the Art Guild meeting on June 9 at 7 p.m. at Rox Bar and Grill to learn more about this intriguing topic.
