Furry Friend of The Week
My name is Molly, and I live with my humans, Sue & Chris Coyle, in Crystal Bluffs Loop. If you care about "breeds," whatever that is, they say I am a "Terrier mix" of some kind. I was once in an awful shelter in Texas but was rescued and sent to Boulder, where my mom saw my picture on petfinder.com. It's like an online dating site, but for pets. I'm probably 9 or 10 years young-- no one is quite sure, but who's counting, right?
I don't like to play as much as I used to, but I do like my walks at RVR and Crown Mountain Park. More than anything, I like to eat! When I'm not eating or going on walks, you can find me:
1) On the down comforter on the humans' bed
2) On top of the backrest of the sofa (my mom says I was a cat in a former life! Not funny!)
3) On my fuzzy soft dog bed.
RVR is such a friendly place for dogs!
P.S. Don't tell, but I have a secret crush on my neighbor Hank, and I always want to stop in the Sales Barn to see him. Yes, he's much younger, but a girl can dream, can't she?
We would like to thank Sue & Chris Coyle and for sharing Molly with us for our featured Furry Friend of the Week! If you would like your furry friend to be featured, please submit a picture and short bio to Jessica Hennessy: jessica.hennessy@rvrma.org.

Green Tip
Are you interested in RVR becoming a more sustainable, healthier, and environmentally conscious neighborhood? So are we! In our era of climate change, drought, wildfires, and emission reduction goals, we all have great ideas on ways to improve our community. We will highlight a green tip of the week periodically in the newsletter to help bring this topic to the forefront.
Please enjoy the following eco-friendly tidbit:
Did you know that Carbondale's City Market collects hard-to-recycle single use plastic? This includes items like dry cleaning bags, flimsy vegetable bags, plastic shopping bags, etc. There is a clearly marked collection barrel near the store's exit door. Although this type of plastic is not normally recyclable through Mountain Waste, City Market takes it to a special recycling facility in Denver. So instead of throwing that plastic away, bring it to City Market. Of course, best of all, is to use your own mesh vegetable bags, request no plastic cover on your dry cleaning, and have re-usable grocery bags!
This post was brought to you by Friends of the Environment, a group of like-minded RVR residents who love the environment. If you would like to join their list, email courtney.eaton@icloud.com.
News from the Golf Course
The Golf Course team has been out plowing and shoveling greens in order to remove ice and snow built up over winter. This is part of their spring golf preparations. Please do not enter golf green areas at any time to avoid damage to the surface.  The fencing around the greens may be temporarily removed for maintenance, however pedestrian traffic is still not allowed.
The course itself is becoming quite wet with snow melt and we would ask pedestrians to remain on paths and avoid walking on grassy areas when possible. Golf course opening may be early this year so please watch for signs and notices closing the course to pedestrian traffic for the golf season.
