Dear Faculty:
We know this is a busy time of the semester. We hope you are hanging in there and carving out some time for restoration. A 10 minute stretch break (see this video created by our Director of Scholarly and Creative Practice), or a walk outside, or a brief mindfulness meditation might bring a little rejuvenation into your busy day. Here are some other evidence-based ideas for promoting your well-being.
We want to remind you that for every CFD event you attend this semester you will have the opportunity to enter a raffle for the upcoming Lilly conference in San Diego in January (9th -11th). The conference theme this year is Teaching for Active and Engaged Learning. Please click here for more information. We will have 5 winners and you can increase your chances by attending more of our CFD events! The winners will have their conference registration and their hotel stay paid for.
Also, when possible, we will be offering our events both in-person and on Zoom. You can indicate your preference on the RSVP form.

The event will begin with several short reflections from LMU faculty members about their experiences and hopes for utilizing LMU’s outdoor spaces as places of engaged student learning. This will be followed by a group conversation exploring questions such as: What is this place and what is our relation to it? What does it mean to think about the environment as classroom? If you have ever held a class outdoors, we want to hear all about it! Lunch provided with RSVP by Monday, 10/28
