Trash Truck

Community Trash Event

Date: Saturday, Sept. 22
Time: 8:30 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Location: Ranch House

De-clutter your life and bring your garbage to the Master Association trash disposal day! Waste Connections will have several trash trucks at the event so that you can dispose of your unwanted items. This event will be for trash disposal ONLY. We will not have a chipper at the event, but you are welcome to bring limbs and yard waste for the trash truck. Bulk trash items such as mattresses and large boxes are welcome. No electronics, chemicals, paint, appliances, tires or recycling - the annual recycling event for these items will be in May.

Mill Levy Information

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Metropolitan District Board voted to place Ballot Issue 6G on the November ballot. The Board is seeking voter approval to increase its mill levy by 8 mills in order to continue offering services at current levels, increase services where needed, create operational and capital reserves, and offset the impacts of the Gallagher Amendment.

What is the approximate increase in taxes per home?
The 8 mill increase is equivalent to an increase of approximately $4.75/month per $100,000 of property value. Here are a few examples:
$400,000 Residence = $19 per month
$600,000 Residence = $29 per month
$800,000 Residence = $38 per month

e-Bike Registration

The Ken-Caryl Ranch Open Space and Parks Use Rules prohibit the use of motorized vehicles, including but not limited to e-bikes, motorcycles and motorized scooters. One exception to this rule is accommodations (as mandated by Americans with Disabilities Act) for individuals with mobility disabilities that need motorized vehicles, or Other Power-Driven Mobility Devices (OPDMD), to access and enjoy open space. In 2017, the Master Association Board approved the use of class 1 e-bikes (pedal assist, lacking throttle) as an OPDMD on PRIVATE open space trails. Qualified individuals will need to acquire a permit through the Master Association. See the link below for details.
