Dear Spartans,
On Tuesday, August 11, 2026, Information Technology Services (ITS) will be renewing the certificate for “eduroam,” SJSU’s primary WiFi network. We renew the WiFi certificate as part of standard practices to maintain our security posture and ensure our campus WiFi network remains secure and reliable.
What you need to do
After the renewal, when you connect to eduroam, you will need to accept the new certificate to connect to our secure campus network. On most devices, you will be prompted to “continue” with the connection or “accept” or “trust” the certificate. Our WiFi Network Access website has detailed instructions for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS.
A faster, more secure way to connect
Eduroam is SJSU’s primary WiFi network for all computers, tablets, phones, laptops, watches, and more. It features an encrypted, fast, high-bandwidth connection. Your saved eduroam login also works at 38,000+ participating institutions across 100+ countries worldwide.
