Happy May, 4-H Families!
I'm thrilled to be back! In late April, I had the opportunity to attend a conference on volunteerism in Portland, Maine, followed by our Positive Youth Development Institute Meeting in eastern Wisconsin. These gatherings were energizing and focused on shaping the future of our state structure with an emphasis on youth empowerment, college and career readiness, and experiential learning. I’m excited to share more about these opportunities with you in the coming months!
As we gear up for summer, I can’t wait to reconnect with so many of you at camp, Discover Wisconsin, the fair, and our local events. We’re also introducing some exciting new programs in foods and nutrition, LEGO, and arts and crafts—stay tuned as we finalize dates and details!

Help Us Sustain Youth Programs!
|
We informed on Monday, April 28th that Wisconsin 4-H Expanding Access AmeriCorps has terminated the Serve Wisconsin Funds as of April 25, ending all AmeriCorps programs.
This affects our ability to offer youth programs, as we lose vital staff capacity. We urgently need $30,000 to fund summer interns and support roles to continue providing enriching opportunities for 468 members.
Your support will help us maintain programs like Cloverbud, Summer Day Camps, and in-school activities, ensuring access for all, especially underserved youth.
If you are interested in supporting our program, please complete the Google form and 4-H Staff will follow up with you.

National 4-H Week Service Project
|
The Wisconsin 4-H Leadership Council invites you to join their Statewide Service Project!
National 4-H Week is October 5-11, and we want to highlight this week in Wisconsin by encouraging 4-H clubs to participate in a service project. This year’s theme is “Beyond Ready to Serve.” We encourage you and your club to create meaningful service projects that benefit your community.
Community service is a vital part of 4-H clubs and groups. In the 4-H pledge, we commit our “hands to larger service,” and we know that 4-H clubs are actively engaged in service projects throughout the year. We hope your club will join this effort and consider a project in the fall as part of our statewide initiative!
With our theme “Beyond Ready to Serve,” we encourage your club to make a unique impact on your community through a variety of service acts.
We encourage your club to work as a team and make these service projects youth-led, with youth deciding on the project and leading its planning and execution. Once your club has selected a project, please register it here.
