Global Sustainability Scholars Fellowship- Deadline: January 29! Open to graduate students only (Fall 2023 enrollment is acceptable). The fellows program offers a 10-week paid immersive training and mentoring with a global sustainability organization. Fellows will work with sustainability organizations such as GSS or Future Earth and will engage with participants of the GSS scholars. Fellows are paid a stipend of $8,000 for their full participation in the program. Each fellowship may provide different opportunities and experiences, however, all Fellows will have a core curriculum and a GSS mentor. GSS Fellowships may meet graduate school requirements as professional internships, so be sure to make proper arrangements with the GSS program director prior to acceptance.

Future of Food: Opportunities and Careers for Undergraduate Student Fellowship Program- Deadline: January 31! Aims to provide undergraduate students with experiential learning opportunities to increase their understanding of the future of food systems as it relates to enhancing the safety, quality, and security of our food supply through knowledge sharing, capacity building, and leadership development. Each student awarded the F2OCUS fellowship will receive a stipend of $5,000, in addition to room & board and additional financial support for necessary travel. Open to undergraduate students who are citizens or permanent residents of the U.S. or currently enrolled in a U.S. institution. Eligible majors include physics, biology, chemistry, consumer sciences, psychology, and more.

Summer Liu Xiaobo Fellowships- Deadline: February 15! The Congressional-Executive Commission on China is offering paid Fellowships to those with Bachelor’s degrees. Fellows are paid $18/hour. Fellows must be US citizens. Fellows should have completed at least some China-related coursework. It is also desirable that they have some background in human rights and/or rule of law issues within the CECC legislative mandate. Fellows should be able to read Chinese well enough to assist with research in newspapers, journals, and government documents. A highly competitive candidate will have lived/studied in mainland China, Hong Kong, or Taiwan.

Tillman Scholars- Deadline: February 28. Open to military service members, veterans, and spouses pursuing full-time undergraduate and graduate degrees at a US-based, accredited institution. We provide academic scholarships (the average award is $10,000 per year), professional development opportunities, and a connection to a national network of service-minded leaders. Scholars receive annual funding for academic expenses, including tuition, books, and living expenses.

Masonic Medical Research Institute (MMRI) Summer Fellowship Program- Deadline: February 28. Fellows work on cutting-edge scientific research studies in an established investigator’s laboratory at the MMRI. Research programs at the MMRI include projects in cardiovascular, neurocognitive, and autoimmunity diseases, as well as in cancer and gastrointestinal disease. Fellows must be undergraduate or graduate students enrolled at an accredited university, with an interest in science or medicine. For ten weeks, from May through July, ten fellows are paired with scientists at the MMRI, in an intensive working and mentorship experience at one of the preeminent research institutes in the USA.

Advanced Practice Healthcare Scholarship Program- Deadline: February 24. Awards up to $25,000 for one year of school and can be awarded up to three (3) times. If awarded, recipients agree to a twelve (12) month service obligation practicing full-time, direct patient care at a qualified facility in California. To be eligible for the Advanced Practice Healthcare Scholarship Program, you must be currently accepted or enrolled in the following California Board or Committee approved program: Certified Nurse Midwives, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Dentists, Nurse Practitioners, Occupational Therapists, Pharmacists, Physical Therapists, Physician Assistants, and Speech Therapists.

Ignited Summer Fellowship for Educators- Deadline: March 1. The Ignited Summer Fellowship Program places eligible K-16 teachers of all subjects into high-performance work sites for the summer. Teachers work full-time for eight weeks, complete a project for their Fellowship Hosts, and are paid $9,000 total. Teachers are paid $25/hour for 280 hours of project-based work and receive the remaining $2,000 in grants for creating and implementing curriculum based on summer work experience, with the support of a coach. Applications open in December, positions begin to be filled in March, and fellowship projects begin in June.

An intensive two-week program run by the Institute for the Study of War in Washington D.C. The program aims to educate advanced undergraduate students about the theory, practice, organization, and control of war and military forces. The Omidyar Network Associate Program is a two-year program for early-career professionals during which time they research new areas of programmatic engagement, support programmatic portfolios and specific portfolio investments, collaborate with network partners, and engage with diverse voices on our issues. Candidates should have a passion to build more inclusive and equitable societies, 2-5 years relevant experience, excellent research, analysis, problem-solving, and written communication skills, the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and external partners, attention to detail and the ability to track and execute multiple work streams at once, and a high degree of comfort with change and ambiguity. Apply by March 31CBCF Congressional Summer Internship Program.
The Congressional Black Caucus Foundation Congressional Internship Program places rising college sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as recently graduated persons, in the offices of CBC Members for a 9-week summer internship. Interns must be a permanent resident in the district of a CBC Member or attend an academic institution in the district of a CBC member. Interns receive housing and a $3,000 stipend. Interns interact with Congressional staffers, explore aspects of the policy-making process, and build skills to prepare them for careers both within and beyond the policy arena. Interns must have 2.5+ GPA, full COVID vaccination (including booster), be a US citizen interested in pursuing a career in public service, have availability to participate full-time upon acceptance (cannot be enrolled in summer classes), have a general familiarity with the federal legislative process, and strong analytical and communication skills.
