In February 2008, IRW reported that Kelly Busch's KVB Broadcasting sold WGLM (106.7fm, West Lafayette) for $1.2 million to Educational Media Foundation. On February 29, 2008, WGLM became WKHL with EMF's Contemporary Christian "K-Love" format.
Woof Boom Radio will purchase WKHL from Educational Media Foundation. Woof Boom owns a cluster in the Muncie/Anderson market, and recently entered a TBA with a Lima, Ohio cluster. We haven't seen the deal filed with the FCC, so no sale price available right now. Once the sale closes, Woof Boom managing partner Jim Stone will become GM of WKHL. Woof Boom president J Chapman and Mr. Stone worked together at Maverick Media in Rockford, Illinois. Mr. Chapman was GM and Mr. Stone was OM. Finally, the broker on the sale of WKHL to Woof Boom: Jon Yinger of Broadcast Properties LLC.
