Martin Luther King Jr.'s Legacy Honored All Over Philadelphia CBS News Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy was honored all over the city Monday as one community came together to freshen up an arts program building in North Philadelphia. "I think that overall, it makes me feel very good," Villanova freshman volunteer Arthur Martin said. "It makes me feel like I'm actually making a difference."

The Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Keynote Lecture is a major event each January open to the entire Villanova community and to the public.
For more than twenty years, Villanova has celebrated the life and legacy of Dr. King with a series of events and programs designed to highlight continuing injustices, while also celebrating those individuals and organizations that challenge and overcome them. Past keynote speakers include Sonia Sanchez, Chaka Fattah, Cornel West, Patricia Williams, Melissa Harris-Lacewell, Timothy Tyson, Phillip Atiba Goff, Crystal Lucky, Sonya Douglas Horsford, Anthea Butler, Bryan Stevenson. M.K. Asante and Ian Haney Lopez.
Jim Wallis is a globally respected writer, teacher, preacher, justice advocate, regular international commentator on ethics and public life, and mentor for a new generation. He is currently serving as the first Chair in Faith and Justice, and leader of the Center on Faith and Justice in the Georgetown University McCourt School of Public Policy. Prior to this position, he was a research fellow at the Berkley Center since 2010.
Wallis is the founder and ambassador of Sojourners, a progressive Christian grassroots movement that advocates spirituality and social change in America. Sojourners' ministries grew out of the Sojourners Community, located in Southern Columbia Heights, an inner-city neighborhood in Washington, DC. Under Wallis’ leadership, Sojourners has had international acclaim as a group of Christians who work together to live a gospel life that integrates spiritual renewal and social justice
Wallis is a New York Times bestselling author of twelve books, including Christ in Crisis, America’s Original Sin, God’s Politics and The Great Awakening. He served on President Obama's White House Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships

An Evening of Song with The Curtis Institute

On Wednesday, January 25th beginning at 7PM in the Topper Theatre, enjoy an evening of ensemble and solo performances from the world-renowned Curtis Institute.
Tickets for this special event are FREE, but must be reserved. Faith in Dialogue Symposium 4 PM |Tuesday, January 31
Join us at 4 PM, Tuesday, Jan. 31, in the Connelly Center’s Villanova Room for this inaugural event promoting interreligious conversation and understanding. Guests Philip A. Cunningham, PhD, and Adam L. Gregerman, PhD, of the Institute for Jewish-Catholic Relations at Saint Joseph's University, will dialogue with each other and the audience on the topic “‘Strangers No More, but Brothers and Sisters.’” A reception for all will follow.

Fitness Center Hours
Monday -Thursday: 7-11AM and 8PM – 12AM
Friday: 7-11AM
Saturday: 10AM – 6PM
Sunday: 10AM – 12AM
*There will be no access restrictions during summer breaks, holiday schedules, or finals weeks.*
Pavilion Pool Hours
Monday and Friday: 9AM - 1PM
Wednesday: 9AM - 12:45PM
Tuesday and Thursday: 8AM - 1PM
*Please note that there will be no Rec Swim on the following dates, and that these dates may be updated throughout the semester:*

Membership
The Friends of Villanova program is offered by Villanova University to our neighbors in Radnor Township and select neighborhoods in Lower Merion Township that are contiguous to our main campus. Residents of Radnor and select areas of Lower Merion may, for an annual fee, access University facilities such as the Fitness Center at the Davis Center and the Pavilion Pool, on a limited recreational basis.
If you are interested in joining the program, please visit villanova.edu/fovmembership to submit an application. Please allow 3-5 business days for staff to complete the review and verification process. Once the process is complete, you will be notified of your status via email.

Located in the heart of campus in the Connelly Center, Villanova's Art Gallery is a vibrant space to view pieces from Villanova's extensive collection as well as exhibits from artists around the country and beyond.
