CATCH going strong in rural Illinois
The Kish Health System have been pioneers in using CATCH to significantly increase physical activity and healthy food choice and encourage sun safe behaviors. The KishHealth system has created significant measurable increases in moderate to vigorous activity, children are better aware of nutrition, and now, KishHealth is one of the pioneers in using MD Anderson Cancer Center's Ray and the Sunbeatables™: A Sun Safety Curriculum for Preschoolers. Read how they've made CATCH fit their system's needs on our website.
The Rural Health Monitor recently published an incredibly helpful profile of the CATCH program in the rural Illinois Delta Region.
“If the CATCH philosophy is engrained, the grant funds may be gone, but the principles will still live on." - Jeff Franklin, llinois Delta Network CATCH Project Director
