Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., elected 18th president of the University of Notre Dame
The Board of Trustees has elected Rev. Robert A. Dowd, C.S.C., as the University’s 18th president, effective July 1. He will succeed Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C., who announced in October that he will step down at the end of the 2023-24 academic year after serving as president for 19 years.

New venture fund aims to further Notre Dame’s mission through purpose-driven startups
A new venture capital fund, the 1842 Fund, named for the year Notre Dame was founded, closed the first $17.5 million of a target size of $35 million. The fund will support faculty research, student innovations and community startups and drive economic transformation in the South Bend-Elkhart area.

The opening of the Raclin Murphy Museum of Art is a debut of the initial phase of the Notre Dame Arts Gateway — a collection of state-of-the-art buildings and spaces dedicated to the visual and performing arts and architecture.
