Each Sunday, we will be celebrating our pastors during Pastor Appreciation Month. Join us at either Service and Fellowship Hour. Together, let's acknowledge and encourage the work of our pastors. This Sunday, we are honoring Pastor Sarah during service and next week, Pastor Steve.
FRIDAY
FOOD PANTRY SET-UP
Help us set up food for our distribution on Saturday. Set-up begins at 2:30pm.
SATURDAY
MEN'S BREAKFAST
Men of Bethesda! Join us for food and fellowship, beginining at 8:00am.
REFORMATION BOOK CLUB 
Second Saturday at 9:00am in Pastor Tom’s office upstairs. Join in any time!
FOOD PANTRY DISTRIBUTION
Help us distribute food Saturday morning! We will begin at 9:30am.
SUNDAY
BIBLE SUNDAY
We will be handing out Bibles to 3 year olds and 3rd graders, or those who have not received one previously. Bibles are $20 each. Talk to Pastor Sarah. If financial assistance is needed, let her know.
ADULT EDUCATION
9:45am in Community Center: “The Six Marks of the Church.” Led by Pastor Tom and Pastor Steve. This mixed format of teaching and table talk will explore the fall sermon series in greater depth: Daily Prayer, Weekly Worship, Daily Bible Reading, Service in and Beyond the Congregation, Nurturing Relationships, Giving a Tithe and Beyond. 
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Pick up your box on Sunday at Bethesda. Bring your filled boxes back by November 12th. For questions or more details, contact Yvette Jernberg.

TUESDAY
High School Youth Group - Youth Group meets Tuesdays, 6:30-8:00pm in Duck-Beaver Room.
WEDNESDAY
Middle School Confirmation - Confirmation meets Wednesdays, 5:30pm (optional fast food dinner), 6:30-8:00pm class in Duck-Beaver Room.
THURSDAY 
Daytimers Bible Study - Thursdays at 11:00am: In the Community Center, now through November 16: “The Book of Acts.” Led by Pastor Tom.
Lunch with Pastor Sarah - Join Pastor Sarah at Solvang the third Thursday of each month at 1:00pm to have food and fellowship. Just show up! Please remember $7 if you are not a resident of Solvang. Hope to see you there.
Women's Ministry Meeting - Our Annual Advent Breakfast is scheduled for December 2nd at 10:00am. If you would like to help in any way at this special event, come to our Women's Ministry Meeting on October 19th at 3:00pm. We can always use extra help in planning this day.
NEW Thursdays Classes - We are currently offering two adult classes from 6:30-8:00pm. Pastor Sarah is leading a class focusing on an overview of Scripture. Pastor Tom is leading a class on using one’s gifts for leadership. Childcare will be provided. If you have any questions, talk to Pastor Sarah or Pastor Tom.
NEIGHBORHOOD GATHERING: HARVEST PARTY & PIZZA!
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 27, 6-8pm
Join us for our October Neighborhood Gathering! Fun fall activities, costumes, and pizza for the whole family! It's FREE and open to the public. Be sure to invite all your friends and neighbors!
If you'd like to donate spooky treats or volunteer to help out, please sign-up online. We also need candy donations! If you see a great deal, pick up a bag or two. Bring candy donations to the church this Sunday.

Almost 90 boys and girls have received clothing from the Bethel Boutique. It's a busy place downstairs. Thank you to ALL the wonderful volunteers who make this ministry possible!

CAPT. LARS E. TOFTEMARK USAF JAG MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP
The selection committee would like to announce the winners of the Capt. Lars E. Toftemark USAF JAG Memorial Scholarship for the 2017/18 academic year.
