| | We’re getting ready for this summer’s RVRMA Board of Directors election, an important opportunity for our community to come together and help choose the leaders who will help guide us forward.
Per the RVRMA Bylaws, board members serve three-year terms with no term limits. Each year, a portion of the board positions come up for election. This year, the terms of two dedicated board members, Vice President John Lund and Director Sherry Stripling, will expire. If they choose, John and Sherry may seek re-election by declaring their candidacy, just as any other homeowner can.
Interested in serving your community?
|
|
|
If you're a homeowner who would like to get involved in serving your community and shaping the future of RVR, we encourage you to consider running for a seat on the Board. The deadline to declare your candidacy is Friday, June 6.

Join RVR Homeowners for a Memorial Day Observance |
|
|
Join a group of RVR Homeowners in honoring those who served our country at the annual Memorial Day event organized by American Legion Post 100. Veterans will perform a gun salute and cast a wreath at the Veterans Memorial Bridge (entrance bridge into Carbondale on Hwy 133 near the light with Hwy 82) at 10:00 a.m.
Please arrive early, as Hwy 133 will be temporarily closed for the ceremony.
Bikers will meet at the Ranch House at 9:30 a.m. to ride over to the bridge together. Those who will be driving can park near the bridge, but please avoid Honey Butter, as it's reserved for veterans and their families.
Let’s come together as a community to pay tribute to our heroes!

Featured Photo | A Splash of Color at the Ranch House |
|
|
Against all odds and between the cracks of the concrete, a vibrant snapdragon has bloomed near the pool deck at the Ranch House! This cheerful little snapdragon reminds us that beauty can thrive in the most unexpected places. Next time you’re at the pool, take a moment to enjoy this small but mighty splash of color located next to the double doors as you exit the Ranch House onto the pool deck.

More than a dozen RVR riders pedaled their way up Independence Pass on May 17, part of the 31st annual Ride for the Pass. The event attracted 240 timed riders, and a slew of un-timed e-bikers.
RVR cyclists included Kevin Kreuz, who finished first in the Men’s 70+ division (56.55); Susan (1:34.09.5) and Todd Christman (1:34.09.6) who arrived at the finish line nearly hand-in-hand; and Gary Lesser, the first e-bike rider to finish, 54 minutes after the event began.
The ride kicked off at the winter closure gate on Highway 82, about 5 miles east of Aspen, at an elevation of 10,600 feet. It ended 10 miles later and 2,300 feet higher, at the ghost town of Independence. The fund-raising event is organized and run by the Independence Pass Foundation, a non-profit that encourages stewardship, safety and appreciation of the Pass. For full results, click here.

| Friendly Reminder: Leash Your Pup & Pick It Up! |
We all love enjoying the beautiful outdoor spaces in our community and that includes our four-legged friends! To help keep our neighborhood clean, safe, and welcoming for everyone, please remember to keep your dog on a leash and clean up after them during your walks.
Poop bags are provided in RVR year-round at the regularly serviced waste stations. Please be a good neighbor and dog owner and scoop the poop!
And don’t forget — Carbondale’s leash laws apply in RVR.

A kind reminder to RVR residents who are storing their deer fencing for the summer season: please make sure it’s stored out of sight from the street and from your neighbors. Whether that means storing the fencing in your basement, attic, crawl space, or offsite away from RVR, please find a place for the deer fencing that has no visual impact on the RVR community.
