  1. TGS is now accepting applications for the 3-Minute Thesis Competition (3MT). Students completing graduate-level independent research, dissertations, and theses are eligible to participate. The deadline to apply is January 21, 2022.

  2. The Graduate School Citations for Academic Excellence were created to recognize outstanding academic achievement of graduate students. See this year's awardees and the full program of the ceremony on TGS website. 

  3. The Graduate Student Association has selected the Outstanding Graduate Faculty Awards for Fall 2021. These faculty members are being recognized in the areas of Inclusion, Mentorship, and Teaching. TGS also thanks these faculty for their work toward quality graduate education.

  4. Graduate students can apply for academic conference funds for both in-person and virtual professional conferences.

  5. Congratulations to the Fall 2021 graduates! We hope that your time at Grand Valley has prepared you well for your future and that you will continue to be a Laker for a Lifetime.

  6. M.Ed. alum, Nicole Durso, was among three teachers who received an award for the Grand Rapids Public School's Jean Hamilton Cope Teacher of the Year. Congratulations, Nicole!

The Graduate School has developed a list of resources for students that includes physical health, mental health, sexual health, and more.

December 17, 2021: Last day to submit final documents to TGS for thesis or dissertation
January 6, 2022: New Graduate Student Orientation from 3-5pm in the Loosemore Auditorium
January 7, 2022: New International Graduate Student Orientation from 3-5pm in the Loosemore Auditorium
January 21, 2022: Deadline to apply for the 3MT Competition
