Dear Faculty, Administrators and Staff,
As we close out the 2025–26 academic year, I would like to recognize the incredible engagement and collaboration across campus through the Compass Super User Cup, an initiative led in partnership between Academic Affairs and the Division of Student Services.
Throughout the academic year, two monthly winners were selected from our schools and colleges to recognize individuals or units who exemplified innovation, engagement and best practices in the use of Compass to support student success. From proactive outreach and meaningful advising conversations, to creative use of alerts, campaigns, automations, and AI-supported features, participants demonstrated an inspiring commitment to student care, and advising excellence.
The competition was spirited throughout the year, and I am pleased to congratulate the College of Human Development, Culture, and Media (CHDCM) as the Compass Super User Cup Champion for the 2025–26 academic year.
Additionally, thanks to Strategic Planning funding, we were able to offer a faculty raffle to recognize individuals who utilized Compass features such as notes, appointments and alerts in the spring semester. Prizes included free parking and reMarkable tablets.

As we pause the competition for the summer, we encourage faculty advisors and staff to take this opportunity to complete the Compass Advising Training and return reinvigorated for the next cycle of innovation, collaboration and student support.
I would also like to thank all faculty advisors, staff, administrators and campus partners who participated in this initiative and continue to strengthen our culture of student support through thoughtful and innovative advising practices.
