Baylor Law Professor Jessica Asbridge’s research is contributing to a significant case that the U.S. Supreme Court will hear during its 2026 term. Her work on the Excessive Fines Clause and the constitutional limits on government-imposed penalties is helping shape an amici curiae brief that addresses how courts should determine when a fine becomes constitutionally excessive.

Baylor Law School Welcomes Ben Rosenblum and Caroline Stewart |
Baylor Law School welcomed two new faculty members this fall, Assistant Professor of Law Ben Rosenblum and Clinical Assistant Professor Caroline Stewart. Both bring considerable practice experience and a strong commitment to teaching and preparing students for the practice of law. Rosenblum joins Baylor Law School's business and transactional program from Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton in Washington, D.C., where his practice focused on securities regulation and enforcement. Stewart joins Baylor Law School's Legal Analysis, Research, and Communications program after a career spanning commercial litigation, public service, and complex regulatory and transactional matters, including service with the City of Georgetown, Texas.
