Angela Laffan, NP, MSN, will be the featured guest for CCF's Luncheon with the Experts Facebook LIVE series on Thursday, February 11 from 12 noon to 1 pm, Eastern Time.

Angela Laffan is Assistant Director of Gastrointestinal Oncology Survivorship at UCSF Health in California. She is a nurse practitioner who uses a holistic approach to help patients manage symptoms of gastrointestinal cancer and side effects of its treatments. She also educates patients on how to improve their health and quality of life. She has more than 25 years of experience in oncology nursing.
In addition to neuroendocrine tumors, she specializes in cholangiocarcinoma, liver cancer, stomach cancer, pancreatic cancer, and esophageal cancer, among other conditions.
“My goal,” says Ms. Laffan, “is to provide compassionate, holistic care to patients throughout their cancer journey.”
Ms. Laffan earned her master’s degree from UCSF’s adult-gerontology nurse practitioner program, with a subspecialty in integrative medicine. She is a member of the Oncology Nursing Society and the North American Neuroendocrine Tumor Society, NANETS.

February 18, Daniel M. Halperin, MD, is a medical oncologist and clinical investigator at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Texas, focusing on the development of novel treatments for patients with NETs in addition to providing clinical care to patients with NETs and other gastrointestinal cancers. He leads clinical trials of new drugs for NET patients and is also a member of the Neuroendocrine and Adrenal Tumor guideline committee of the National Comprehensive Cancer Network, contributing to evidence-based guidelines for the care of NET patients.
February 25, J. Philip Boudreaux, MD, FACS, is a surgical oncologist and Professor of Surgery at LSUHSC School of Medicine, and also participates in Liver/Pancreas Transplant Services. Dr. Boudreaux instituted the liver and pancreas transplant programs at LSU, performed the first pancreas transplant in Louisiana, and initiated the liver and kidney transplant programs at Children's Hospital, New Orleans. His clinical interests include treatment of neuroendocrine tumors; hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery; radiofrequency and Nanoknife ablation of solid tumors; and liver, pancreas, and kidney transplantation.
