Successful Training in NYC
The National HCH Council hosted the 2015 East Coast Regional Training in Harlem, New York, March 26-27. In addition to an energizing speech from Bobby Watts of Care for the Homeless, workshops addressed critical issues including quality improvement, trauma-informed care, health care for transgender and gender-nonconforming people experiencing homelessness, and consumer governance. During this two-day event, the Council facilitated an important roundtable discussion with key stakeholders in New York State’s Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) examining how health centers serving patients who are homeless would be impacted by its implementation. Watch for upcoming Regional Trainings in Philadelphia (October 15-16, 2015) and Denver (TBD, Spring 2016).
