EDUCATOR UPDATE

Cloverly Greetings!

What an exciting couple of months we have ahead! We are just over a week away from our Summer Camp at Kamp Kenwood! Our counselors and volunteers are eagerly anticipating the excitement and memories that Chippewa County 4-H Summer Camp will bring to our young people. We can’t wait to share the fun our campers will have - follow our social media to see an end-of-week reflection video!

Several Chippewa County 4-H members will be representing us at the 2024 Summer Academy. I look forward to traveling with them and bringing back valuable resources to Chippewa County. Summer Academy is just one of the many state-wide educational experiences offered by Wisconsin 4-H. If you or your youth member is interested in learning more, please reach out!

Educator Availability Update: With summer programming in full swing, there will be times when I am out of the office. If you cannot reach me via email or my direct office line, please feel free to contact me on my work cell at (608) 893-3183, and I will try to respond within 24-48 hours.

AREA 6 TRI-COUNTY DAY CAMPS

Come join our exciting Summer Day Camps and make unforgettable memories! From outdoor adventures to creative arts, there's something for everyone. Don't miss out—Registration is now open! Sign up now and let the summer fun begin!

Day Camp Series July 15-17 for Grades K-2 and 3-5

• 9am-12 for Grades K-2

• 1PM-4PM for Grades 3-5

$5 cost for those not registered in 4-H this year.

Locations are still being finalized. Sign up for one, two, or all three days!

SCHEDULE:

• July 15 in Dunn County (K-2: Wilderness explorers 3-5: Game Makers)

• July 16 in Eau Claire County (K-2: Mad Scientist 3-5: Lego Mechanics)

• July 17 in Chippewa County (K-2: Plants and Growth 3-5: Tie-Dye Funk)

STATEWIDE EXPERIENCES

NATIONAL 4-H CONGRESS

National 4-H Congress is a five-day Educational Experience held in Atlanta, GA. National 4-H Congress is the premiere nationwide event for 4-Hers to network with others from around the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

While at Congress, 4-Hers engage in leadership, citizenship, global awareness, and inclusion. Highlights include educational workshops, city exploration, international events, community service, educational tours, and the National Congress Gala.

The cost for this program is estimated to be $1,500 per participant. Educational Experience Scholarship Applications from the Chippewa County 4-H Leaders Association will be available October 1st.
