Knight-Hennessy Scholars Program Applicant Workshop Webinar
July 10 at 12 p.m., Online

The Knight-Hennessy Scholars program will annually identify a group of 100 high-achieving students from around the world with demonstrated leadership and civic commitment to receive full funding to pursue a wide-ranging graduate education at Stanford, with the goal of developing a new generation of global leaders.

The program is designed to build a multidisciplinary community of Stanford graduate students dedicated to finding creative solutions to the world's greatest challenges. As a Knight-Hennessy Scholar you will develop both the depth and range of subject expertise to confront the numerous grand challenges and opportunities of the future. 

KH applicants are invited to attend this webinar on how to polish your application. We will also troubleshoot any application issues and concerns.

Schwarzman Applicant Workshop Webinar
July 11 at 9 a.m., Online

The Schwarzman Scholars Program gives the world’s best and brightest students the opportunity to develop their leadership skills through a one-year Master’s Degree in Global Affairs (taught in English) at Tsinghua University in Beijing – one of China’s most prestigious universities. 

Drawing on the best traditions of Tsinghua and top academic institutions around the world, the curriculum bridges the academic and professional worlds to educate students about leadership and about China's expanding role in the world. The program also provides Scholars with unparalleled learning opportunities with leaders from China and the world through high-level interactions at lectures, an internship program, a mentors network, and intensive deep-dive travel seminars.

LMU Schwarzman applicants are encouraged to attend this webinar on how to polish your application. We will also troubleshoot any application issues and concerns.

Submit ETA Interest Form- Due July 13
If you feel like you missed your chance to apply or if your post-graduation plans have recently changed, submit your interest form by Friday, July 13.
The ETA Program places Fulbrighters in classrooms abroad to provide assistance to the local English teachers. ETA’s help teach English language while serving as cultural ambassadors for the U.S. This fully-funded, prestigious program is open to students of all majors (you are not required to have a background or future career goals in education). ETAs also have the opportunity to engage in their host community.
  • Most ETA grants are 9-10 months long and begin in fall of 2019
  • Available in over 75 countries
  • ~30 countries do not require previous study of the host country language
  • The age and academic level of the students varies by country, ranging from kindergarten to university level
  • Benefits include: round-trip transportation to the host country, funding to cover room, board (based on the cost of living in the host country), and accident & sickness health benefits

We are looking for students who:
  • Are U.S. citizens
  • Will have received their bachelor’s degree before or by August 2019 (graduate students are eligible as well)
  • Have a recommended minimum GPA of 3.0
  • May have previous study abroad experience(s)
  • May have previous tutoring or teaching experience(s)

All or Multiple Disciplines
The Ian Parry Scholarship- Deadline: July 28. Each year we hold an international photographic competition for young photographers who are either attending a full-time photographic course or are under 24. Each winner will receive $3,500 towards their chosen project.

Charles B. Rangel International Affairs Graduate Fellowship Program- Deadline: September 17. The Rangel Program is a collaborative effort between Howard University & the U.S. State Department that seeks to attract & prepare outstanding people for careers as diplomats in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State. The fellowship is for young people interested in international service and provides about $95,000 over two years for graduate studies and professional development, leading to a career in the Foreign Service of the U.S. Department of State.  The fellowship encourages the application of members of minority groups historically underrepresented in the Foreign Service, women, and those with financial need. It also values geographic and socioeconomic diversity.
