Lucas consistently demonstrates exceptional performance in all aspects of the Terminal Agent role at Golden Gate Ferry. He provides outstanding customer service by assisting passengers with fare purchases, Clipper card registration, schedule information, trip planning, and directions throughout the ferry system. He is known for his patience, professionalism, and preparedness, including routinely providing printed schedules to passengers. His colleagues share that his willingness to learn and adapt makes him a great coworker during challenging times, and that he is an incredible asset to the Golden Gate Ferry team.
Lucas joined the District in 2019 as a Deckhand Apprentice Casual. He started working as a Terminal Agent Casual with Seniority in 2023 and was promoted to his current position in fall 2023. Prior to joining the District, Lucas worked as a Shift Lead and Valet Driver at Peninsula Parking in Walnut Creek, as a Student Worker-Library Assistant Clerk at Contra Costa Community College District, and was the Owner/Landscape Manicurist at Curb Appeal in Antioch. Lucas was born in Walnut Creek and attended Los Medanos Community College in Pittsburg, CA. He has been a resident of Lower Nob Hill in San Franciso since 2024. In his free time, he enjoys camping in his motorhome along the coast, organizing, yard work, fixing appliances and outdoor recreational vehicles.
