Over 150 students participated in the “Sex in the Dark” program at Daisy Hill Commons on March 27th. Sex in the Dark was an interactive program that promoted sexual health by allowing students to create their own safer sex kits and zines. Students were also able to play bingo and other interactive games with the chance to win prizes. The educational program was hosted by the Health Education Resource Office in collaboration with Emily Taylor Center for Women and Gender Equity, Center for Sexuality & Gender Diversity, Sexual Assault Prevention & Education Center, and Housing & Residence Life.

Orchestrated National Ritual Celebration Week with
17 chapters, 40% of the sorority and fraternity community, participating in the week's inaugural celebration on campus.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) |
Provided 1,089 counseling appointments to 653 students, increases of 5.5% and 18.3%, respectively, from March 2023.1

| KU Memorial Union (Union) |
Welcomed 1,600 visitors to the inaugural Arts and Crafts Fair, surpassing the event’s target by 60.0%.6
|
| Student Conduct and Community Standards (SSCS) |
Adjudicated cases at a rate of 15.3 days per case, improving average case completion time by 6.7% from March 2023.10

Emily Taylor Center for Women and Gender Equity (ETC) |
Welcomed 113 attendees to Femme Fest IV, an event amplifying indigenous women/femme musical artistry, an increase of 126.0% from March 2023.

Organized intramural soccer for 800 participants, an increase of 43.0% from Spring 2023.7

| Student Involvement and Leadership Center (SILC) |
Sent 3 student employees to the Clifton Strengths for Students Conference held at Kansas State University.

Educated 45 students with healthy cooking tips by offering four Cook Well Live Well classes this semester.

Provided legal assistance to 115 clients over Spring break, an increase of 400.0% from March 2023.8

Received 138 student referrals, a decrease of 9.8% from March 2023.11

Hilltop Child Development Center (Hilltop) |
Organized free hearing and vision screenings for over 100 children, an 809.1% increase from the fall semester.

Facilitated 7 educational and awareness programs, a decrease of 56.2% from March 2023.9

| Watkins Health Services (WHS) |
Provided medical services to 1,015 walk-in patients, a decrease of 8.1% from March 2023.12

Emily Taylor Center for Women and Gender Equity was selected as the state of Kansas' archival site for the Midwest Zine Archive.
Alex Barajas and Robyn Finkbone were awarded the CAPS Jayhawk Award.
Monty Coasch-Johnson's (ETC) artwork was selected for inclusion in the UMKC Gallery of Art's Midwest Zine Archive Exhibition.
Katelynn Esparza and Samantha Tiernan were named March Student-Aides of the Month (Hilltop).
Gabby Fischer was awarded the Rice Scholarship to cover all tuition and fees associated with KU School of Law (HERO).
Cheleia Marshall’s manuscript was accepted for publication in the Journal of School Nursing (HERO).
Kelly Westfall was named the WHS Employee of the Month for March.
